Description: When very young, a Xich's Sting will be so small that they fit inside of a shell on palm of your hand (as seen below). While many shelled creatures grow or build their shells bigger, the Xich's Sting's shell remains the same size as when it hatched with it. The shell is a bone covered in flesh at birth, however the flesh is torn away as time passes. Predators usually stay away, as the end of the shell is a barb filled with venom that will shut down a nervous system and kill.
Xich's Sting grow, however, until they can no longer fit inside their shells many times over. At that point, the shell is used at a weapon, still filled with venom, for hunting smaller fish. | |||
